Sharing Travel & Vacation Information

Santa Fe is a world renowned travel destination. It is full of vibrant history, heritage, arts and culture that can help create a perfect vacation. Santa Fe lies in the foothills of the Rockies averaging 300 days of blue skies and sunshine. It is the ideal spot for a fun vacation!

On the hot air balloon flight, you will soar over the Rio Grande Gorge near Taos. As the crew is preparing the balloon, you can sit back and enjoy the early morning air with the provided coffee and delicious pastries. Once you board the giant balloon, your pilot will give you a briefing on what to expect on your journey through the sky.

As you lift off the ground and ascend into the morning sky, you will be amazed with the views of the Gorge. The balloon will follow the water of the Rio Grande River and gently drift through the air. Once you have reached the prime spot of the Gorge, the balloon will slowly descend about 600 feet below the rim allowing you to see the whitewater and ruins. You may even spot some of the wildlife that makes its home here.

After you have been rendered speechless by the endless beauty of the gorge, the balloon will ascend again allowing you to see the entire Taos Valley. The pilot may even give you a chance to fly the balloon on your own which is an experience in itself!

When the hot air balloon reaches the landing sight, you will take one last look at the stunning sights surrounding you. Take it all in as it is one of nature’s most precious gifts. When the balloon has landed, the crew will drive you back to Taos where you are treated to a delightful champagne brunch. If it was your first time ballooning, you will be invited to participate in a unique and historical celebration. The entire experience is wonderful and magical; there is nothing else in the world like the view from above it.

If you want to spend your vacation in a healthy city which has been named one of the top travel destinations in the United States then Santa Fe is right for you. Reserve your vacation fun at Santa Fe Tours website, www.santafetours.net.

Just returned from a short trip to Santa Fe and it is such a great town to visit; the people are warm and friendly and the history and culture are wonderful. Stroll the old streets of Santa Fe and stop into a unique restaurant for wine and some gourmet food! It's a relaxing Southwestern town.

I would like to go up in a hot air balloon. Have you ever gone up in one?

I've never been in a hot air balloon, but I think it would be SO MUCH FUN! Especially in such a beautiful setting in the Sagre de Christo Mountains. I just learned recently why the mountains are called that - it means "Blood of Christ," because the mountains have a deep red hue to them. =)

One of the special things about a hot air balloon ride is that it is incredibly quiet. You are up high in the sky without motors, and it is quiet and peaceful. And in Santa Fe, it is incredibly beautiful.
