obama inauguration
So I have heard through news that the inauguration is going to be the social event of the decade. Apparently rooms are booked from miles around and people are renting out there rooms for big bucks. I believe there are even going to be leaving the bars open until 5am. I am just wondering what all these people are going to be doing the days before and after? Does anyone know of any cools things that I can do while there that will better my experience during the inauguration? stuff like African-American Museums, Presidential Museums, Presidential city tours...

One of the best ways to get a good overall look at the city is by taking this $59.95 tour at http://www.dctours.us/tours/tourDetail.cfm?tour_id=10742 . There's a Night Monuments Tour that's a little less at http://www.dctours.us/tours/tourDetail.cfm?tour_id=11127 Plus there are several Brunch Cruises; but you'd probably enjoy the fun of a Segway Tour, which is really AWESOME but all these things really have to be booked ahead as far as possible as it is going to be slammed.
